Leaving Sierpe de Osa, the route will begin by the largest Central American mangrove, there we’ll cross its waters to the mouth of the river Sierpe, arriving at Drake Bay where is the entrance to the Corcovado National Park.

In this idyllic place of planet earth, is possible to do plenty activities, such hiking along the trails of the park, visit white sand beaches and swim on crystal clear waters, observe birds and the rich nature that it has. Also is possible to observe fauna like different species of monkeys (Howler, Capuchino or White Face, Squirrel and Spider), tapirs, jaguars, raccoons, anteaters and crocodiles .

8 am - 10 am: Transport

Departure from Sierpe to Corcovado National Park
  • Departure at 8:00 am from Sierpe, it is recommended to be 10 minutes earlier.
    The route consists of 45 minutes through the waters of the river Sierpe crossing the largest mangrove in Central America (Terraba – Sierpe), where you can see many species of birds, monkeys, crocodiles, snakes, among others. At the mouth of the River Sierpe, a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes starts along the coast of Corcovado National Park until arriving at the San Pedrillo Control Station, one of the most remote of the Osa Peninsula, where is the rainforest.

10 am – 12 md: Hike

Through different paths of the primary forest.
  • During the tour you will be able to appreciate the intense biodiversity of the area where you can see some of the mammals that inhabit this area as tapirs and the four species of monkeys that inhabit Costa Rica (Howler, Cariblanco, Squirrel and Spider) and Great variety of bird species.

12 md – 1 pm: Lunch

After the walk you can enjoy a delicious lunch surrounded by the exuberant nature of Corcovado National Park.

1 pm – 2 pm: Free time

During this time you can enjoy the beach, take pictures or just rest and relax.

2 pm – 4:30 pm: Transport

Return from Corcovado National Park to Sierpe
  • During the return trip in the afternoon to Sierpe, you will be able to observe dolphins, whales, stingrays and sea turtles, depending of each species season .
